Lost Love Pt.1 (Episode 1)

While working with Pete Thornton to arrange security for a priceless Chinese artifact touring America, MacGyver discovers an old flame he long-thought dead is alive. When she and her ex-KGB husband ask MacGyver to help them defect, he arranges an elaborate scheme with old friend Jack Dalton. The plan goes awry when MacGyver and the defectors are captured. The KGB then pits MacGyver at odds with Thornton, challenging him to steal the Chinese artifact to win release of the defectors.

Lost Love Pt.2 (Episode 2)

MacGyver and his old friend, Jack Dalton heists a priceless Chinese artifact as ransom for Lisa Kohler, a woman Mac once loved. The exchange is made, but Lisa tells MacGyver they must go back for her husband, who MacGyver presumed had already been killed. When MacGyver and Dalton are captured, Mac learns that Lisa had double-crossed him; and, now with the Chinese artifact in their possession, the KGB orders Dalton and MacGyver to be executed.

Back From the Dead (Episode 3)

In a cameo appearance. Hank Aaron assists former hit-man, Jimmy "The Eraser" with the Class-A baseball team Jimmy now manages. Trouble strikes, though, when Jimmy's new Identity is exposed, forcing MacGyver and Pete Thronton to once again, relocate him with a new identity. Their plans are thwarted, however, when the mob kingpins Jimmy once worked for discover he is still alive and kidnap Jimmy's daughter and grandson to force him out of hiding. Fearing MacGyver will involve the police, Jimmy sets out on his own to even the score, with MacGyver hot on the trail to bring Jimmy and his family back safely.

Ghost Ship (Episode 4)

While hiking through remote northern wilderness in the land where the Sasquatch legend was born, MacGyver rescues a frightened young girl from a deserted ship. Before MacGyver can get her to safety, though, they uncover a secret operation to siphon oil from a nearby pipeline. But, little Karin's life is endangered when the thieves take her hostage, and it is up to MacGyver to win her freedom, expose the operation and unravel the Sasquatch mystery, once and for all.

When Danny Barrett is killed after coming too close to exposing a sophisticated diamond thief's operation, MacGyver vows to solve the case and avenge his friend's murder. When a top secret, experimental jet fighter crashes in East Germany, MacGyver and NIkki Carpenter are sent over the border to locate and destroy the plane's wreckage before the Russians can find it. They arrive at the crash site, though, to find the Soviets already sifting through the debris. Their problems are further complicated when Peter Starkoss, a renowned Soviet psychic who led the Russians to the site, discovers MacGyver and asks for his help in defecting to escape his government's exploitation of his "gift." It's up to MacGyver, then, to find a way to complete the mission and spirit the three of them safely back to the west.

Jack in the Box (Episode 7)

MacGyver heads down to Arkansas after receiving a foreboding plea for help from old buddy Jack Dalton. But shortly after his arrival, he finds himself in trouble after a run-in with the local redneck sheriff. Thrown into a labor camp, MacGyver meets up with Dalton, who admits he lured him there to search for some legendary bank robbery loot hidden in a nearby mineshaft. When it becomes apparent that the local authorities are using the "prisoners" to conduct a similar search, MacGyver and Dalton must figure out a plan to escape the camp and alert the state authorities.

The Widowmaker (Episode 8)

After a rock-climbing accident takes the life of MacGyver's old friend Michele "Mike" Forrester, Mac holes up in Pete's nearby cabin, blaming himself for the mishap. Meanwhile, professional assassin Murdoc is back for revenge and tricks an unknowing Nikki Carpenter into leading him to MacGyver. Eventually cornering the two in a deadly game of cat and mouse, MacGyver soon realizes that their only chance for escape is down the sheer rock formation on which "Mike" lost her life.

It's a homecoming of sorts for MacGyver, who returns to his college alma mater to referee a Physics contest for former professor Julian Ryman. When another student unexpectantly wins, though, a suspicious MacGyver starts searching for some answers, while David - despondent over his failure – quietly locks himself in a lab with a home-made bomb set to detonate in a matter of minutes.

MacGyver uncovers some startling secrets from NIkki's past after a mysterious assassin begins stalking her. Pete Thornton reluctantly retires from the Phoenix Foundation after a near- catastrophic accident takes place during a nuclear warhead dismantling operation under his supervision. MacGyver, though, becomes more than suspicious when other long-time agency personnel are let go by the new leadership, whose policy directives grow more radical by the day. Ultimately, it's a showdown when MacGyver and Nikki battle to expose the Agency traitors and stop their plans for assassinating a visiting Third World leader.

Thin Ice (Episode 13)

While back in Minnesota helping his former coach Turk Donner (guest star Martin Milner) with the collegiate state hockey playoffs, MacGyver confronts the team's top player, Derek Kirby (guest star Jeff Schultz), a former Olympian whose finesse on the Ice is being overshadowed by his explosive temper. Soon, It's a tug-of-war between MacGyver and Derek's father, who views his son's aggressive play as a ticket into the pros. The Odd Triple (Episode 14)

Trouble Is brewing when MacGyver's old buddy Jack Dalton (guest star Bruce McGill) drops into town asking Mac to help with a new venture. Reluctantly, MacGyver agrees to co-pilot a wealthy European Jet-setter aboard her private jet back to France, after a jewelry buying spree in the United States. Upon landing, though, MacGyver and Dalton are arrested - discovering they've been the unwitting accomplices to an international jewel heist. The Negotiator (Episode 15)

MaGyver ends up the target of a mysterious assassin after he threatens to delay construction of a new marina, pending the outcome of environmental Impact studies he's preparing for The Phoenix Foundation. The Spoilers (aka Earthquake) (Episode 16)

MacGyver befriends "Earthquake" Toberman (guest star Randall "Tex" Cobb), a mountain man who witnesses a local waste disposal company illegally dumping toxic chemicals into a stream. Initially reluctant to testify, "Earthquake" finally agrees to come forth, only to have the chemical company attempt to discredit him as a witness by bringing up his past experiences in Vietnam. When "Earthquake" is framed for murder and flees in panic, it's up to MacGyver to come to his rescue and exonerate him.

Mask of the Wolf (Episode 17)

MacGyver and his old buddy Jack Dalton (guest star Bruce McGill) agree to take an aging Indian friend, Two Eagles (guest star Floyd Westerman) back to his Kaqwani Reservation so he can commune with the wolf spirit one last time. Trouble looms, though, when Mac and Dalton are overheard by two fortune hunters who are certain that Two Eagles will lead them to the sacred site where the legendary "Mask of the Iliehkam" is hidden. After the pair kidnaps Two Eagles, MacGyver and Dalton race to the reservation in an anxious bid to free their friend and keep his people's sacred relic out of the marauder's hands.

Rock the Cradle (Episode 18)

MacGyver and Jack Dalton (guest star Bruce McGiII) inherit more than trouble when a baby. Jack, Jr., is left abandoned In Dalton's airplane hangar. Initially taken aback by the prospect of fatherhood, Dalton undergoes an about-face when he and Mac discover a bundle of money with the baby's belongings. After two thugs arrive on the scene and further discoveries prove the cash to be counterfeit, though, MacGyver and Dalton start a desperate search for Katie (guest star Mitzl Kapture) - the child's mother and the only person who knows the Identity of the counterfeiters and whether Jack Dalton is really the father of the baby.

The Endangered (Episode 19)

A near brush with death sends MacGyver off to the wilderness to visit an old flame (guest star Moira Walley as Karen Miller) with hopes of rekindling their romance. When MacGyver finds that Karen has become involved with another man, he decides to leave, but not before he and Karen — now working as a Park Ranger — discover the bloody remnants of a grizzly poaching. Karen bids Mac goodbye and sets off in search of the poachers, but an overheard conversation puts MacGyver on the poachers' trail with a chance to help Karen one last time.

Murderer's Sky (Episode 20)

MacGyver and Pete Thornton investigate the attempted assassination of a Chinese shipping company executive (guest star Keye Luke as Adam Chung), whose repeated refusals to sell out have landed him in grave danger. When he discloses that the only heir to his business is a 14-year-old grandson (guest star Ernie Reyes, Jr. as Luke Chung), whom he's never met, MacGyver arranges to have the boy brought to his grandfather's hospital beside. There, despite protection, Adam's killers complete their grisly task and then set their sights on Luke, who proves himself to be a resourceful companion, as he and MacGyver battle their would-be assassins.
